Since my last two submissions are getting more faves than I ever could image and a bunch of people seem to think that I'm worth being watched (we'll see about that, you fools *crazy laugh*) I think it's time that I credited a number of incredible artists that inspired me the most. I stole shamelessly from all of them and I will continue to rip off their awesomeness - all for the sake of favs, watches and those llama things that I don't understand.
I will try to update the list as often as I steal from someone not mentioned. Also, it only mentions artists that I am aware of stealing from. Fire-Fox-America:
You all know the all-american master-tier tickling art veteran with a taste for profanity (which I think is funny as f***) and the super-power of drawing the sexiest feet you have ever seen. He is and will always be the number one on this list because he supported me in so many ways, be it his comments on my earliest submissions, his mention (that doubled the number of my watchers) or most of all his awesome artwork. I also remember one day when I was feeling really down and then he posted that Missy bio. That stuff cheered me up instantenously. Speaking of Missy, she was a huge inspiration for my own punky girls (both consciously and unconsciously). If I had to pin point one of the many things I stole from his style, it is the way he poses his ticklees. Their poses are always a little twisted which adds immensely to a picture's dynamic. I try to replicate that special twist whenever I am positioning my ticklees. Sharky-B:
This dude. He basically opened my eyes for probably one of the most used shading techniques in digital art that I completely failed to recognize. I admire the way he uses it and stealing it increased my work flow and the look of my artwork immensely (compare Tickled what?
to the previous pic to get what I mean). I do not have to tell you how uniquely awesome his artwork, his characters and his style is. When I have a little more time on my hands, I'm going to look at each of his pictures just to find every variation of his crazy shark watermark. CommissionKomori:
Besides contributing one of my favorite shows, this incredibly talented artists did and probably still does a ton of tickling commissions. I adore how she manages to use fairly simple poses so efficiently in her work and I think it is obvious that I tried to rip off one of her poses in Combining interests
(quite poorly, of course
) I also believe that I have been copying the way she does those cute expressions. I absolutely adore the cuteness she brings into her work and will continue stealing from her great style. Unless she sues me. Please don't sue me! Oo Mystic-touch:
None of my words can describe the greatness she so continuously provides in her work. The way she draws facial expressions, poses and feet, is just incredible and I cannot count how many times I (more or less successfully) used her pictures as reference. There is just so much to steal from her artwork that I honestly don't know what to rip off next. I believe the way she draws feet had a huge impact on my renditions in particular. I still don't know how she does it, though
Maybe she cannot be copied by anyone below her incredible skill level at all
